Hi everybody,
our sailing boat is using an old B&G Network installation. That system is not available anymore and we plan to "migrate" to a new system. We will use Raymarines ST70 to start with, as the depth meter needs replacement. The idea is as follows: installation of a new depth/speed/temp smart-sensor (DST800) together with ST70, both connected using the Seatalk(ng) bus. As the ST70 is able to act as an Seatalk(1) to Seatalk(ng) bridge, we would like to use Frank's Bridge to connect the Seatalk(1) from the bridge to the ST70 on one side, and the NMEA0183 input of Frank"s Bridge on the other side to the B&G NMEA0183 output. That should feed all NMEA data from the B&G system to the ST70's multidisplay.
What do you think - should it work or not?
Many thanks for any comments on this "idea"!
