Hi, I've a seatalk nmea bridge (without display) and I need to connect to my pc via RS232 to set some functions using Hyperterminal.
With a D9 connector what is the correct pin assignment? Only ground, txd & rxd or with loop back handshaking?

Hi palve,

all you need is :

RxD, TxD and GND.

Set jumper to RS232
Connect SUD-D Pin 2 ( Rxd ) to Bridge Txd
Connect SUD-D Pin 3 ( Txd ) to Bridge Rxd
Connect SUD-D Pin 5 ( GND ) to Bridge GND

Set Hyperterminal to

4800 Baud, 8 Bit, no parity, no handshake.
That's all you need.
